Hi! I’m starting a project to create clothes which are grown, processed, woven and sewn in the UK. We want to design and prototype machinery to process the raw plant fibre into thread which is easy to build, open source, maybe bicycle powered, and will allow small farmers to process their flax and hemp plants without having to send them far away overseas for spinning. This will empower regenerative farmers to create small local supply chains with ethical fashion designers and artisans!
