Materials - EVA Foam lasercutting

Hello,

I often see cosplayers using laser cutters to cut EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) Foam.

Although this practice is widely diffused (many users asked me about it in the past), the “Vinyl” part of the material really worries me.
Should I allow users to use this kind of foam with a lase rcutter?

I looked around on the internet, but I would prefer to have an opinion from the Fab community

Thank you

EVA is okay as long as the laser cutter is well ventilated, PVC or vinyl is usually a concern due to the C (chlorine) part which releases harmful gases as well as can degrade the laser cutter machine. Just make sure the material is EVA though
