Our Fab Lab is located in The Borderplex Area, specifically in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. México.
Our main purpose is to introduce technology in all the levels of education to support projects that help to diversify the main economic activity in our region, manufacturing.
To be able to achieve this transformation, our vision is to support software engineers, craftsmen, architects, designers, artist and people with the intentions of getting involved in the world of fabrication.
We are an open digital fabrication lab where you can learn how to use 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, design software and electronics to make (almost) anything you want. We are part of the international Fab Lab network and offer access to a professional Do It Yourself (DIY) studio and a great community of makers. We offer individual training for rapid prototyping. Classes range from 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining and software development up to finished prototypes.
The idea for Fab Lab Juárez came to be when The Technology Hub realized the need for a maker space in Ciudad Juarez where the local community of creators could experience the appropriate environment and resources to unleash all their entrepreneurial & innovative ideas.
The Fab Lab Juárez is expected to open on April 2017. Offering a list of services to instruct about tools & facilities. Offering to the makers a vibrant space to create their ideas easily.
