3D Druckzentrum Ruhr

3D Druckzentrum Ruhr in Essen is the first fablab in the Ruhr area. It connects technology with cultural activities. Founded by Alexander Lohberg, studying systems engineering at the university of Duisburg-Essen, and Peter E. Petersen, comic artist and student of communication design at FH Düsseldorf. They founded the lab at the atelier house in Schützenbahn street in downtown Essen. They created an unique place for interdisciplinary research and artistic craftsmanship. The 3D Druckzentrum Ruhr is a private institution financed by voluntary donation and consulting and lecturing activities in the field of 3D printing. Everybody is welcome to participate in the discovery of new things and ways of doing things.
