Approved as a FabLab but still not listed in the directory after 2 months?

Hi there,

I am the studio manager at MAKE Aberdeen. We were recently approved by one of our referees (05.04.17) but as yet have not been contacted again since our first response. Are we still waiting on our other referees to approve us or are we already an approved FabLab. If we are, is there any reason why we are not listed on the directory yet? If not, how long does the approval process take typically?

Hi Ben!

I had a similar situation with my FabLab. You need to have at least 2/3 referee approval, as is described here: http://www.fablabs.io/labs/docs/approval_process

What I did was to email all the people listed in the chosen referees page (for the FabLab I didn’t worked with) and chat with the ones I knew.

Hi Alejandro,

Thank you for getting back to me, much appreciated! I had thought that might be the case. Do you know if there is any way to see your application form submitted? It was quite a while ago that I submitted the application and want to make 100% sure who we submitted as our referees before we try to contact them for approval.

Ben,

You need to edit your FabLab submission and there you can see the chosen referees. I don’t remember if you can see their names, but I’m sure you can see their picture. I guess you can always choose new ones, but don’t quote me on that. If you can’t get the info that way, you can always write to fablabs.io webmaster, which always is glad to help.

I have the same issue right now and I am waiting the approval for Fablab Mostaqbli. I have been approved by one referee and waiting for the other one. I have communicated with the referee Fablabs but only one replied asking for evidence. After providing that, I am still waiting again for the approval.

Please can someone let us know if it is possible to change the referees Fablabs in the application?

Yes, approved but by only one of the designated referees. Two are still missing.
