CoStruct is building Myanmar’s first fab lab. We will introduce digital design and prototyping to students, techies, and entrepreneurs and bring Myanmar into the global fab fold.
In addition to offering traditional fab lab trainings and workshops, the fab lab will be housed on a river boat in order to connect with rural communities in the Delta Region and along the Irrawaddy. Able to travel up the river between Yangon and Mandalay, the fab lab will contribute to building urban-rural collaborations for using tech to solve problems and meet community needs, as well as bring hands-on design skills training workshops to rural communities with limited access to quality education and technology resources.
