Fab Lab Akureyri is in Verkmenntaskólinn á Akureyri which has carpenter, electrician, art etc. education. Fab Lab Akureyri was founded through the town of Akureyri, NMI, VMA and Simey to give schools, public and entrepreneurs a chance to learn and create through rapic prototyping. This Lab is the seventh to open in Iceland and works closely with them.

Hello Mverderau, we have added the lab on www.fablab.is It is in Icelandic but you can see it here http://fablab.is/akureyri.html and on the map here http://fablab.is/um.html .
All the lab managers in Iceland are working close together to form the Icelandic network and we maintain a one webpage for the network.

Ofcourse. Im the project manager here at Fab Lab Akureyri. It recently opened and we have already started with Fab Lab Workshop course through a local education center. I am arranging the open hours and making connections to the local school to prepare to educate the teachers so they can pay it forward to their student.
