A small skeletal moth, approx 8 cm wide.
I did a pencil sketch of one side of the moth, and used it as a background when modelling with Blender and Rhino
Printing: Formlabs Form 2, with grey resin.
The moth was supposed to be symmetrical, but some parts didn’t print out on the other side at all. This was probably because of the alignment, and maybe more supports should have been added.
Finishing:
I sanded the parts where supports had been attached and painted the object with nail polish that glows in blacklight (3 layers). The nail polish worked suprisingly well. Attached the moth to jewellery wire to make a necklace.
