Discussion about Solihull Fab Lab

Fab Lab Solihull is part of the Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus project. Youth Promise Plus is an Employment Pathway Project supported by the European Social Fund and Youth Employment Initiative. It is part-funded by the European Social Fund. It will give people aged 15-29 who are not in a job, education or training the chance to unleash their creativity on technology including a 3D printer and scanner, a CNC router, t-shirt printer and embroidery machine.

They will be given four weeks of free tutoring on how to use the technology after which they will be given advice about how they can progress their own business or career aspirations.

This is the general thread for discussing the lab; the thread is also visible on its page at https://www.fablabs.io/solihullfablab

Hello
Is this lab still up and running?
Thanks
Paul

They registered as a mini fablab in 2017; last update 2018.

If you are in doubt, maybe you can call them?

Best,
Pieter van der Hijden

Yes Pieter I’ll ask about it when I go to collect my library book over the next couple of days.

Hope all is good with you

Paul
