We are currently looking for a software to maintain an inventory of all parts we have in our Fab Lab. We often encountered the problem that parts were out of stock, that should be always available because people did not report that they used them.
Required features are
- Open Source and Self-hosted
- Parts List with images
- Barcode Scanner support for easy inventory changes
- Lightweight interface (Most inventory software comes with a huge load of unnecessary features which overload the interface)
One program which I have already found is PartKeepr ( https://partkeepr.org/ ). It fulfils all the requirements but I would be interested if you have experiences with other software or in general what you are using to maintain a list of parts in your inventory.
